About Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Visits

A guided visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau handles the practical side — timed entry, transport, a licensed guide — so that your attention can remain with the history itself.

Photography is restricted in parts of most memorial sites, and quiet is asked in others. Your guide will explain the customs of the place — following them is part of the visit.

What Travelers Say

5/5 from 37916 verified GetYourGuide travelers

"It’s hard to call a trip to Auschwitz a “great trip,” but that’s what this one was. Our guide Martin was so knowledgeable and very clear in his directions about where/when to meet, when to keep silence in the museum, etc. I don’t really know how he has managed to wrap his mind around this horror nearly every day for a decade, but his information and demeanor were confident and clear-eyed."

Mark United States

"It is a good tour to get access to the site without fuss, and also get an informative guide about the history, since visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau are all guided tour and so I think it's better to have it pre arranged instead of going their by yourself, save time on public transportation."

Kenny Hong Kong

"Day trip was amazing - obviously Auschwitz is a very poignant place to visit but the experience itself was second to none The pick-up and drop off was amazing - Martin and the bus driver (I’m so sorry I can’t remember his name) we’re both very welcoming and also quite funny the banter between them And Martin was brilliant with his little history stories that we has telling on the coach journey"

Scott United Kingdom
